Depression is more than being sad. Depression is life consuming. It can interfere with work, school, relationships, hobbies, chores, appetite.... and more.
Every day feels like you are walking through a fog. You might sleep in, skip work for the day, and lay in bed debilitated. The sink is full of dishes, there is no food in the fridge and you barely have the energy to call for delivery.
You may not even feel sad, you could just feel numb. You feel detached from the world, separate from others and disconnected.
